Deaf Loves

Deaf Loves chronicles the daily life of a seemingly ordinary family. However, their relationships, no matter how loving and affectionate, reflect an unbridgeable distance rooted in the lack of communication that prevents the characters from mutually understanding each other. It creates a gap within the family, which can only be closed in the face of a major threat – symbolized by death or the Great Beast. The play was performed by the group espanca!, from Minas Gerais, which has been seeking to reassess ethics through theater since its foundation in 2004.
